Ten percent platinum on activated carbon for fuel cells. This catalyst powder was designed for cost-sensitive applications and is suitable for electrochemical systems that require small amounts of platinum to aid in the reaction. This material is ideal for hydrogen / air fuel cell applications. The formulation is applied directly on Nafion™ membranes using a liquid Nafion™. Activated carbon has a larger surface area than carbon black and can therefore absorb more gas.
